Recommended reading for a gospel-powered life

Over the last few months, I’ve come to a much greater realization that the gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t just something that got me into a relationship with God.  It didn’t just save me from hell and get me into heaven.  The finished work of Jesus; His perfect life, His death, His resurrection, and His ascension, are all the power of living this Christian life here and now.  As I’ve become more aware of this, I’ve started to read some books on just such a subject.  Jared Wilson calls this awareness “Gospel Wakefulness.”

The following books, which I’m recommending to you, are great at putting into words what I can only attempt to express to you.  I’m just not able to describe what it is that needs to be said, but these authors have done so well.  So here, in no particular order, are some books on living out the gospel everyday in your life.  I hope that you’ll read them and that they’ll give you the perspective they’ve given me.
